1943 Zoot Suit Riots.  A clash occurs between hundreds of sailors and marines with a local Hispanic gang known as the Zoot suiters.  The MPs and police quelled the fight only to have more servicemen arrive to avenge their buddies.  Downtown LA became a battle zone for several nights as a result.

After years of denial of its existence, the graves of the Katyn Forest Massacre are found.
The Polish Jewish Fighting organization, known as the ZOB is organized in an effort to resist going to the railroad cars to the concentration camps.  Arms are smuggled into the Jewish ghettos, where survivors of the previous purges are now living.  Police enter the ghetto to deport the remaining survivors and are met with strong resistance. The badly outgunned ZOB are defeated, resulting in over 56,000 humans being captured and 7,000 shot. Those who remained were deported to the killing camps and the concentration camps..  This infamous day is now known as the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
