This letter is dated November 26, 1854 from Waukesha. The first part
was signed by Charles Heckman. The 2nd note was signed by Caroline
Keebler Heckman. Her portion was written entirely in German and I
cannot translate it. His says: Dear Uncle, I seated myself to
write a few lines to you being all much worried that being that we
understand that you was coming this month we have expected you or a
letter. Mother put in her letter that you should answer her letter
and have not received any yet. We have heard of accidents that
happen on the railroad. Please answer this few lines as soon as soon
as you receive them to let us no how it is but we hope that you will not
disappoint us being that we expecting you all last spring. I hope
that these few lines you may find all well. I have no more to write
at present. We hope that you will soon be here and than we can talk
with you. Best respect from us to you all. We are all well at

| Caroline Mary Keebler, daughter of Frederick A. Morrell Keebler and
Caroline Eastwood, was born July 07, 1867 in Lisbon, Wisconsin. She
married Aaron S. Berringer in 1888 and had two known sons, Lester T. and
Maurice. She died September 05, 1945 and is buried in the Union Cemetery, Menomonee Falls, WI.
According to the 1920 census, Frederick Keebler was living with them at the time and was aged 73. It is indicated that Aaron was a farmer. It is further indicated that Frederick could read, write and speak English. |

Charles Christian Keebler, son of Christian Keebler and
Mary Elizabeth, was born April 02, 1820 in Wurtenberg or Wittenberg,
Germany (it is listed both ways in the census). He married Elizabeth
Stauffer and they had two known children: Sarah and William
Henry. Charles Christian Keebler served for one year in the civil war. He was married on the farm after the war to Elizabeth Stauffer.
It is thought that Charles was also a baker. |

He married Mary Wallace, of Scotland. They had two known sons, Roy
and Erwin. Charles died in 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. |

(birth name Unknown) immigrated to America from Wurtenberg, Germany
or Wittenberg, Germany. His date of birth is unknown, but he came to
this country in 1832 and settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Then moved to Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He was a farmer.
Per notes of Gladys Keebler: Christian and Mary must have been laid to rest in a cemetery not far from their farm which was about 5 miles from Phoenixville, PA. There was a cemetary 4 miles from farm. Perhaps in (old) Lutheran cemetery.
We know he died in Uchland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, as did
Mary. They had five known children: Caroline, A. J. Gotlieb,
Charles Christian, Godfrey and Frederick A. Morrell. |

Waukesha, WI. He married Nellie Allen. Christian and Nellie

Dorothy. The entire family moved to Peace River country,
Saskatchewan Canada around 1911 or 1912. |

either Wurtemberg or Wittenberg Kingdom, Germany. He immigrated to
America with his parents, in 1877 and took his oath of allegiance possibly
Sep 03, 1880 in the court of Common Pleas. His parents were
Christian Keebler and Mary (birth name unknown) He married Caroline
Eastwood of New Jersey on September 01, 1858, in Long Branch, Monmouth, New Jersey.
He died October 19, 1912 and is buried in the Union Cemetery, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha, WI,
next to his beloved wife, Caroline. They had the following
children: William Throckmorton, Frederick Morrell, Charles Henry,
Christian Gotlieb, Mary Ana, Caroline Mary and Godfrey John (aka George) |

| Godfrey John Keebler, or George, as he was more commonly known, had a problem with
alcoholism and was known to be a womanizer. This resulted in his being divorced by his wife, Grace. (Source of information, Grace Keebler Reisman, my great grandmother, who was still living when I was in high school.)
Obituary: George J. Keebler, 64, for 25 years superintendent of distribution at the Nebraska Power Company, died Wednesday evening at his home, 3815 Marcy street, following an illness of a year which became serious last February. Mr. Keebler retired in 1929 after 32 years service with the power company. He began as a lineman June 15, 1897 and was promoted to
Superintendent in 1904. He was a member of Omaha Lodge of Elks. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Lutes and Miss Ruth Keebler and a son, Kinsley "Bud. A sister, Mrs. Carrie Berenger lives in Waukeska, (Should be Waukesha), Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gentleman's Mortuary. Burial will be in Elks' Rest at
Forest Lawn. Born October 01, 1870 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Married Grace Bernard Osborn on July 04, 1898. Son of Frederick A. Morrell Keebler
and Carolyn Eastwood. Children were Gladys Katherine, Kinsley John

Kinsley John Keebler, son of Godfrey John Keebler and Grace
Bernard Osborn, was born May 02, 1902. He married Pauline
Turnby in 1936 and they lived in the Denver, Colorado area for many
years. He was known fondly as Uncle Bud and was a first rate
mechanic. He died June 04, 1968. Both Uncle Bud and Aunt
Pauline are buried in the little Central City, Nebraska Cemetery.

Aunt Ruth was highly active in Eastern Star and
White Shrine. This photo was taken in 1953. Aunt
Ruth had a smile that lit up her whole face She also baked a mean rhubarb
pie.
Myrtle Maud Ruth Keebler, daughter of Godfrey John Keebler
and Grace Bernard Osborn, was born July 14, 1905 in Omaha, Nebraska.
First husband was a man named Huey. His last name was unknown.
The marriage was annulled at gunpoint after he beat her up. He was
never seen again. Later she married Otis Wright, the love of her
life. A day never went by that he did not leave her a morning love
note, even when he was on is deathbed, he had someone put a note on her
plate for him. She died May 27, 1979, in Long Beach, California. |

Osborn Richard Keebler, at about age two or three.
Osborn was born August 24, 1908 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of
Godfrey John Keebler and Grace Osborn. He married Thelma
Bussey October 04, 1928. They had three known children- cannot list
as they may still be living. Osborn played as a concert violinist in a vaudeville act with his wife, Thelma. He contracted
encephalitis at the age of 27 and died shortly thereafter. Date of
death was February 21, 1935. |
