Margaret Cochran, second child of William Cochran and Minerva Sheffey.  Margaret would have been born about 1856.  Nothing further is known.

Cemetery Listing of Meadow Creek.  Shows her buried with Samuel, her husband.  Hannah Love, is also buried in this plot, but we cannot prove how she was related.

Margaret Jane Cochran was listed as the sixth child of Samuel Cochran and Eliza Jane Hale but this cannot be true as Samuel and Eliza were not married until 1847.   It is more likely that she was the daughter of Samuel's first marriage purported to have been to Mary Jane Cochran.  This first marriage is not proven. She was born 11 February 1825 in Tennessee. She married Samuel Love 29 September 1846 in Greene Co., Tennessee. Margaret Jane Cochran died 9 July 1907 in Greeneville, Greene, Tennessee and is buried in Meadowcreek Cemetery in that location.

(documentation: Marriage record 1219. 1850 census report. Family Bible pages.)

See Samuel Love for a list of their children.

Martha Cochran was the eighth child of George Cochran and Margaret Henry.  Her married name was Mitchell.
Martha Cochran, fifth child of Robert H. Cochran and Margaret Evans.  No further information.
Martha Cochran, (parents unknown) born April 05, 1829.  Died August 07, 1893 n Greene County Tennessee. Spouse:  Samuel Russell
Martha Emeline Cochran was the first child of Samuel Cochran and Eliza Jane Hale.  Nothing further known
Mary Ann Cochran (parents unknown) was purported to be the first wife of Samuel Cochran.  No further information was known about her.  I believe her to be the correct mother for Margaret Jane Cochrane rather than Eliza  Jane Hale as previously reported because of the discrepancy in her birth date and the known date of marriage between Samuel and Eliza.
Mary Ann Cochran (possibly named for first wife) was the third child of Samuel Cochran and Eliza Jane Hale.  Nothing further is known about her.

Peggy Cochran was the seventh child of George Cochran and Margaret Henry. Her married name was Henry, the same as her mother's so it is assumed she married a relative of her mother.  (note:  Peggy is a nickname for Margaret so she may have been called Peggy to differentiate between all of the other Margarets.)

Samuel Cochran is one of the individuals in my line about which I know little. He was the tenth child of George Cochran and Margaret Henry. Samuel Cochran was born 9 Oct. 1800. He married Eliza Jane (Thought to be Hale) 18 March 1847. She was his second wife. The name of his first wife is said to be Mary Ann Cochran (surname may be her married name and not her maiden name, although marriage to cousins was fairly common back then.) He died 7 August 1887. He is buried in Meadowcreek Cemetery.

He is listed in the "Greene County, Tennessee Wills book 1783-1890", page 139 and in a book "Greene county Cemeteries from Earliest dates to 1970-1971" which was written by Buford Reynolds. The will as proved up states: "Samuel Cochran: to my wife Eliza Jane Cochran - my farm and all my stock. At her death have an equal division. Don't waste my forest timber.
