| Page 20. This is a jury verdict on a defamation
lawsuit on which Thomas Blagg sat as a juryman. " /Whereas there is a
difference depending betweene Rich fflynt pltiffe and Sarah the wife of
Andrew Bowyer Defent concerning a Defamason wch upon the request of said
Sarah Bowyer was referred to a Jury Wee whose names are underwritten can
find no sufficient proofs that the said Bowyers wife ever Defamed the said
Richard fflynt his wife or mother. But it seemed rather as by proofs
it is evident more - - of malice than evidenced being grounded upon a former
difference betweene Cyprian Bishopp and Bowyers ife we doe therefore Awarde
that the said fflynt shall pay all the charges of Court and make good all
such Damages as Sarah Bowyer shall make appear to the Court and wee doe
further Awarde that Rich fflynt pay to the Clerke of the Court 30 pounds of
tobaco for his drawing up of this Verdict in witness whereof wee have and -
- set our hands the 20th of Jann 1652 X X" Signers were: Wm. Thomas; Jo. Haney; R. Wyard; Jo Miles; Wm.
