| Nina Ruth Johnston, (died May 20, 1991, in a nursing home in Mill Valley, Calif., where she lived. She was born in Knob Noster, Mo., and lived in Kansas City and Nebraska before moving to Los Angeles in 1942. Mrs. Johnston was a teacher in Los Angeles, retiring in 1967, and helped organize the Head Start program there. Earlier she was a teacher in this area, then taught in the education department at the University of Nebraska. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Central Missouri State Teachers College, Warrensburg, in 1939. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Los Angeles. Her husband, W. E. Johnston, died in 1967. |
| Chuck Jones. Co-Founder of our Chuck and Mike's lunch club. Chuck cooked up a storm and made our Sunday luncheons memorable. If I were to say one thing in particular about Chuck I would have to say that he was a man of peace. Where Chuck was found, a sense of peace abounded. |

| Dr. Lauris L Jones. Former director of the Cathedral Choir. Died 6 July 1992 in Murietta, California. Dr. Jones served on the faculty of Occidental College in Eagle Rock, California and was, at one time, conductor of the Long Beach Symphony. |
