NEW HYMNALS

First Church is receiving 675 of the new hymnals.  We hope you will consider donating a hymnal or making a dedication towards their purchase (cost $25.00) to help defray the expense.

The new hymnals contain 570 traditional hymns (including may of our old favorites that had been omitted from the prior edition).  The dedication plates will read:

In memory of__________ (without donor's name)

In honor of____________ (without donor's name)

In Memory of _________________ Donated by ____________

In honor of _________________ Donated by___________

or you can make a donation without dedication or gift acknowledgment in any amount you like.

(You will be happy to note that they kept our traditional red covers and will be emblazoned in gold lettering.  I have seen a copy of the new books and they are beautiful.  One other thing that will make our older readers happy, the print is larger so it is much easier to read.)

Sign up for the dedications can be done in the Forecourt after the 11:00 AM service or you can call June Flowers (213) 385-1341 X215 and she will be happy to give you further information.  So "Come On Down" to the Sunday morning services and help us break in the new hymnals.  We'll let you know when they arrive.
